Marinha
MARINHA DO BRASIL PARK- This park was opened in 1978 and it is formed by 11 acres that have native and exotic trees. The park is an excellent place for sports practice. In the front of Marinha is one of the biggest malls in Porto Alegre. My suggestion is to walk from the park to Usina do Gasômetro next to Guaiba's banks, experiencing an extraordinary landscape.
Parcão
MOINHOS DE VENTO PARK: Most of the people from the city call this park "parcão". It is located next to important avenues: Mostardeiro, 24 de Outubro e Goethe. In Parcão there are a lot of sportis courts and a lake with ducks. In the middle of the park is a windmill retort. Parcao is a very good place for a walk and run.
Redenção
FARROUPILHA'S PARK: More known as Redenção, the Farroupilha's Park is the most traditional of Porto Alegre and one of the biggest urban parks in South America. With a lot of green areas and a beatiful lake, Redenção is an excellent place for a walking and ciclying . In this place there are also lots of monuments, like the Monument for the Expedicionários, brazilians who have participated of the II World War. On Saturdays there is an agro-ecollogical market and on Sundays, lots of pleople from Porto Alegre go to the Brique da Redenção, were antiques are soled .
