PEDRO THEATER
Opened
in 1858 when Porto Alegre was called Província de São Pedro. The
São Pedro Theater is located in the front of Matriz Square and it's architeture
is in a portuguese barroco style, a datail that calls attention is the imponent
chalendier. Certainly one of the most beatifuls houses of spectacle in Brazil,
the theater is decorated in velvet and in gold and the stalls are in the shape
of a horseshoe. São Pedro theater offers much variety in theater, dance
and music concerts in Porto Alegre at night.
